I didn’t want to show what her bedroom looks like so soon. This page was originally scripted to end on the third panel, so I could reveal the bedroom at some later point. However, I realized that if I wanted to keep the story’s events in the original order, that was my best, if not only opportinity to show it.

Also, that would’ve been precisely the kind of pointless cliffhanger I hate the most. I am telling the story from the point of view of a specific character, after all, and that means the reader has to see everything the character sees.

PS: The lighting for this whole scene was a real pain. I absolutely suck at this kind of stuff.

So, is that some kind of large ethereal black spot with cursed powers within, or just a dark hole in the wall?

Well, that’s explained in today's page... Which I completely forgot to upload until now. I was so sure I had scheduled it already.

It's a good thing you made that comment, otherwise I wouldn’t have noticed that. I might even have accidentally uploaded page 4 before today’s page. So thank you for reminding me of uploading today’s page, even if you did so inadvertently. :)

I'm not sure about that, I haven't even watched that many. Which is funny because I'm obsessed with the horror genre.

Most of what I know about horror comes from two main sources: Stephen King’s novels, and the Silent Hill games. I have pretty much an encyclopedic knowledge of the first three games in the series.
